The objective of this literature review is to
compare the efficacy and outcomes of three
primary techniques-plating, nailing, and the
nailing-plating combination-in the repair of
complex distal femur fractures. The review will
particularly focus on the nailing-plating
combination technique, evaluating its potential
advantages as a more novel approach, especially in
patients with osteoporosis and those with
prosthetic implants, where enhanced stability and
reduced complication rates are critical.
