Abstract
As a future forensic pathologist and former autopsy technician, I created this piece to highlight the often unseen, macabre side of medicine—a side that few outside this world ever truly experience. This painting is a deeply personal reflection, a way for me to process the multitude of violent deaths that have ended up on my autopsy table. The figure's posture is a deliberate echo of one of the first crime scene photographs I encountered, with the trauma faithfully represented. It is the first in a series that will continue to evolve as I move deeper into this work.
