Author Profiles for Students & Employees

Students, Faculty, and Staff can create an Author Profile in Elevate if they use a valid RVU email address. Profiles will be public and discoverable online once a Work has been deposited into Elevate and associated with the profile. Deposited Works exist in Elevate regardless of whether an Author Profile exists. If an author profile is deleted, the Work will still exist in Elevate.

Author Profiles for Alumni

Alumni who did not create an Author Profile while enrolled at the University can request that an alumni profile be created for them by emailing the Elevate Librarian.

Removal of Author Profiles

  1. Students who leave the University without graduating will have their profiles removed. 
  2. Alumni profiles will remain active in Elevate for up to five years post-graduation. Alumni will lose access to make edits to their profiles. Send a request to the Elevate Librarian to update your author profile. 
  3. Employees who leave the University will have their author profiles removed.
  4. An Author Profile can be removed at the Library's discretion if the profile is not a professional representation of the author or Rocky Vista University.

Guidelines for Creating an Author Profile

Profiles must be a professional representation of the author and Rocky Vista University.

  1. Full Name
  2. Title
    • Employees: Role
    • Students: Program & Graduation Year
    • Alumni: Role & Residency
  3. Institution
    • Employees & Students: Rocky Vista University
    • Alumni: Rocky Vista University, Alumni
  4. Department
    • Employees: Primary Department in which you work. 
    • Students: The Primary department that aligns with your program.
    • Alumni: Always Alumni

Additional Information:

  1. Professional Photograph
    • Employee: RVU photographs or professional headshots
    • Student: RVU whitecoat photographs or professional headshots   
  2. Alternate Name
  3. Office Location
  4. Education
  5. About the Author (available once your account has been created.)
  6. Works
    • Upload my Work (start a new submission).
    • Find my Records in RVU (connect your profile to a deposited work.)
    • Add External References (add information about works outside Elevate).

    • Students, Faculty, and Staff may use this field to link to their LinkedIn.
